Guns Stolen From Local Vehicles, Burglaries Reported
Several firearms were stolen from unlocked vehicles on the same street on August 26th in a Travelers Rest neighborhood. According to reports the incidents took place last Friday on Barclay Drive in the Sunny Slopes community just outside the city limits of Travelers Rest.
Three undescribed handguns were stolen from an unlocked 2011 Toyota Tundra which was unlocked at the time of the thefts. A Ruger LC95 pistol and a Ruger 1022 Rifle was stolen from a Ford F150 which was also unlocked. A key ring and a key fob was stolen from an unlocked Dodge 1500 but was recovered later.
The Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded to the vehicle robberies.
BURGLARIES
On August 20th a culprit removed a door from a shed at a residence on East Emerald Lane, Cleveland and stole a lawn mower, cement mixer, pressure washer and they cut a lock and stole a trailer.
A commercial building was burglarized on August 24th in the 3200 block of Geer Highway, Marietta. The incident was reported to the sheriff's office at 6 PM. Additional details are not available.
On August 23rd thieves struck another low as a church in the 2900 block of Geer Highway, Marietta was burglarized. The sheriff's office was notified at 9:55 pm that night. No other details are available.
Also on August 23rd a Grand Larceny was reported on St. Luke Methodist Church Road, Travelers Rest at 3 PM. Thieves stole numerous fishing robs from the back of a pickup truck.
On August 23rd off Old Buncombe Road on North Haven Drive, a bicycle was stolen from outside a residence.
