County Sheriff's Office Certifies Three New Members

This past weekend, under the direction of Sheriff Hobart Lewis, The Greenville County Sheriff's Office

K-9 Services Unit certified three new members through the North American Police Work Dog Association as explosive detection k-9 teams. These remarkable canines are trained to locate 17 different explosive odors and their derivatives.

In the coming weeks these three K-9 teams will begin to learn how to track and trail human odor so that they can help to locate missing and endangered people with the Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Team. We are super excited to have these new K-9 Deputies serving our community.
