Body Of Missing TR Woman Found In NC
Lt. Ryan Flood released the following announcement to news media outlests on Tuesday afternoon at 4:45 pm.
Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have located the body of previously reported missing person, Edna Suttles.
Ms. Suttles went missing on August 27, 2021 and yesterday morning, at around 10:00 a.m., investigators located the body of Edna Suttles in a wooded area off of Harris Holly Springs Road in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. This case, which is actively being investigating by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of South Carolina and the 13th circuit solicitor’s office, is ongoing.
Further information will be released at the conclusion of this investigation.
The Monitor has learned the area where Suttles' body was discovered is about eight miles from the former residence of suspect Daniel Printz. Two months ago the FBI released copies of a search warrant concerning Printz. In those documents Printz did not confess to knowing what happened to Edna Suttles but he did state he knew within three feet of where she might be. Prinz is the last person to see Edna Suttles alive.
Edna Suttles was reported missing from her North Highway 25 residence in Travelers Rest. In early September Travelers Rest police located Suttles' vehicle in the parking lot of the Best Western Hotel on Hawkins Road. Security videos showed Printz parking the car there and walking to the Food Lion parking lot and then driving away with a non moving Edna Suttles in the passenger seat of his vehicle. Printz was identified through a shopping discount card used at the grocery store and was arrested in connection with Suttles disappearance. The previously mentioned search warrant stated Printz told law enforcement that he has killed several people but has not identified any of those, if he has, law enforcement in Greenville County is mute.
